Justin is from Lancaster and graduated from the PA Academy of Fine Arts. He works in both oil and metal point. As an artist and avid reader, literature has always played a major role in Justin's life and work.

The appealing narratives that he explores in books have taken on a new fascination through watching film adaptations of those books and listening to the music of those films. Justin brings all of these experiences to his unique work.

"Our whole world is comprised of forms and space. My work examines these forms in space, both in nature and self-manipulated. Through perspective drawing and an intense investigation of shapes, form, and composition, each piece invites the viewer into those spaces that I believe merited exploration.

The paintings on panel and drawings continue the tradition of artists including Carel Fabrituis, Chardin, and Giorgio Morandi, John Frederick Peto and Euan Uglow, all of whom use still life and nature to contemplate the arrangements and abstraction of form and operations of nature and life."
