“I interpret text to create a visual mood, where sometimes the legibility of the words becomes secondary”.

"Words: a written or printed letter or letters standing for a spoken word.” Beyond the basic idea from words, I seek to interpret visually what words or text represent. Even a single word can be rich with imagery.

"Using skills honed from a 30+ year lettering arts career, I create unique works involving and interpreting words & text for meaning and emotion."

Many of Sherrie's works are executed in a small to miniature scale and carry great detail and intimacy.
