Sheri Bare a Lancaster County native has a passion for working with clay. Primarily self taught she draws on her professional experience as an interior designer and love of color pattern and texture when working on her pieces. Sheri owns Room with a View in Mount Joy for more than 27 years.

After working as an Interior Designer for the past 35+ years, Sheri found a passion for working with clay. The tactile and 3 dimensional nature of clay as a medium are qualities that she has been trained in and worked with for years in the design industry.

Sheri began her journey in clay in 2012. Over time she began to move from functional pieces to creating animals that would bring joy to the viewer and collector.

The creative process allows Shari to draw from imagined childhood characters, a body of work that she has been exploring for some time, while adding more movement and storytelling into her pieces.

All works are made of mid range stoneware, and have mulitple layers of slips and underglazes applied to them. Most pieces are finished with a coat of molten beeswax.
