"The 24/7 Project" is an ongoing creative collaboration between two artists, Darcie Goldberg (photographer) and Rhoda Kahler (clay artist), which began in January 2014. The concept is to explore a chosen city in an intense 24-hour adventure with camera and clay, capturing amazing images of sites and the people who make a city/town colorful and interesting. Darcie unveils a city with fresh eyes through a lenses and Rhoda carries a backpack of clay to make ceramic impressions from the architectural details that often go unnoticed by the folks who live in the environment. It is quite often that found objects along the way will be incorporated into their final project. The merging of their worlds with photolithography and clay become both documents and artifacts of their adventures.

During Gallery Walk in Lancaster on May 3, 2019 Rhoda and Darcy brought “The 24/7 Project” to the city of Lancaster. In 24 consecutive hours they collected imagery in preparation for their feature exhibit at Red Raven Art Company in May 2021. Lancaster is now among other cities, such as, NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, Providence, Baltimore, Atlantic City and Washington DC who have experience the wonder of this collaboration. The Lancaster 24/7 show features intimate shadow boxes, each telling a story about Lancaster, including encaustic photographs, ceramic impressions and found objects.
