June: Penlope aka Piggs
July 16, 2013
In our continued work with VCA bridgeport Animal Hospital…. Red Raven’s October fundraiser has helped another city animal in need. This beautiful girl was brought into the Lancaster County SPCA, in April of 2013, as a neglect case. Piggs had a injured hind leg and needed antibiotics and pain medicine. The previous owners had refused medical treatment for Penelope. While under the care of the SPCA, a member of their staff decided to foster the cuddly canine. As time went on, the owners signed her over and as a result she was adopted by her foster mom. Piggs now lives happily with three other dogs and a few cats. She enjoys long hikes and swimming in the creek. Penelope often stops in at the shelter to thank everyone who helped her find her loving, forever home.
