Jan was born in Texas, raised in Arkansas, and has a business degree from the University of Arkansas.

As a child, she fell in love with art, and took lessons and classes right through high school. Even though she changed tracks to study business in college, the love of the creative field has stayed with her.

Jan has worked in the interior design field for over thirty years. A few short years ago Jan decided to return to her childhood love of painting, and began taking art classes at Wayne Art Center.

She has won awards there, been accepted to juried shows, and has shown in galleries in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and in an interior design venue in Little Rock, Arkansas.
