Peg studied ceramics at Bloomsburg University and enjoyed creating pottery and sculpture for a number of years. Although she was born and raised in south-central PA, living in Alaska for 10 years deeply influenced her approach to art making. It was during her time in Alaska that she returned to her love of color and painting. Her work is full of energy; exuberant hues, fresh mark-making and sometimes a bit of whimsy -- the hallmarks of her abstracted paintings of landscapes, vessels and figures.
Although Peg is mostly self-taught, she has studied painting with Nicholas Wilton, Krista Harris, Linda Benton-McCloskey and Stewart Cubley. Peg is also a Reiki Master and a musician who plays the African marimba in an all-woman band. Peg currently lives in PA with her husband and recently adopted dog, Bree.
