Jordana is a portrait artist based in Lancaster Pennsylvania. She studied architecture and design at Washington University in St. Louis, and continues to practice residential architecture professionally. In addition to her creative studies as an architect, Jordana has loved painting since she was a child. She has studied landscape painting with the Maryland Institute College of Art residency program in Tuscany, fashion design at Parsons in Paris, and art history and design in Florence. Jordana notes that the most rewarding part of the artistic process lies in training herself to ‘see’. In a literal sense, this involves challenging herself with creative processes: drawing a subject upside down, with the left or right hand, or in blind contour. In a figurative sense, she shares that art allows her to make new discoveries about people and herself.
